Who we are

Professorship for Earth System Modelling

Coordinates the Munich Climate Center. Its research group focuses on modelling the Earth system and its individual components, with particular emphasis on extreme events, tipping points, critical transitions, and abrupt climate change. The group uses physical models and combines process-based differential equation approaches with machine learning techniques to improve analysis and prediction.
